Highland and Moray councils chart phase 1 routes out of lockdown

Councils in the north are entering Phase 1 of lockdown easing with the message that it won't be business as usual for some time yet, but preparations are under way for a return to a ‘new normal.'
All the council's recycling centres will be open from June 1, and other services are resuming ‘where these can be done safely.'
These include amenities and road maintenance.
A number of public toilets will reopen including Dornie, Raasay, The Green in Portree, Sconser, Achnasheen, Lochcarron and Nairn West Beach.

North-east council services to return in phase one of lockdown easing

Public services including grass cutting and the opening of recycling centres are to begin again on Monday as part of the lockdown easing - as preparations begin to get north-east youngsters back in school.
There have been repeated calls for the region's tips to open in recent weeks with the good weather and increased time at home prompting many to take on DIY projects.
In Aberdeen, the council has confirmed three tips will reopen on Monday, operating on the normal summer timetable.
