Police fill helmet with seawater to put out barbecue on Brighton beach

1 month ago   |   By Metro

The BBQ was quickly put out
Police confronted two people having a barbecue at Brighton Beach during lockdown, pouring water over the flames from a helmet.
The pair were flouting rules on staying home by grilling food - but were pulled up on it.
Dave Strauss filmed what happened and uploaded it on Twitter, saying: ‘The ceremonial extinguishing of the BBQ using a beach patrol guys helmet. Then tried to eat his wet sausage.'
Commenting underneath, others responded saying they were ‘idiots' and ‘should be named and shamed'.
