Coronavirus death toll passes 44,000 after another 137 people die

More than 44,000 people have died of coronavirus
The UK's coronavirus death toll has passed 44,000 after another 137 people died.
The latest figures from the Department of Health show at least 44,131 people have lost their lives to the virus in hospitals, care homes and the wider community.
The DoH said that as of 9am July 3, there have been 10,120,276 tests, with 205,673 tests carried out yesterday. 284,276 people have now tested positive for the virus.
