Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak has announced some major changes to the job support scheme to help businesses that have been affected by lockdown restrictions.
Mr Sunak was under pressure to devise a more generous support system after Manchester Metro Mayor Andy Burnham and others accused the government of risking thousands of jobs by forcing businesses' doors to close with lackluster financial support .
