In the daily coronavirus press conference on Thursday 28 May, Boris Johnson announced a change to the lockdown rules, following a roadmap released earlier this month outlining the gradual easing of the rules altogether.
It was revealed earlier this month that lockdown would start to ease once Britain had passed five tests , which include the capacity of the NHS, a fall in daily death rates, a low ‘R' number - rate of infection - adequate supplies of Personal Protective Equipment and confidence that the new rules...

Boris Johnson announces further easing of the lockdown
Britons will be able to see family and friends in groups of six, after Boris Johnson further eased lockdown rules. Claiming that all five tests to relax the lockdown are being met, the prime minister said people would be allowed to meet in gardens and other private outdoor spaces from Monday. The government's chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, said the crisis is far from over.
