Expert reaction to study looking at dietary guidelines, global health and environmental targets

A study, published in the BMJ , has aimed to link food-based dietary guidelines with global health and environmental targets.
Prof Elizabeth Robinson, Professor of Environmental Economics, School of Agriculture, Policy, and Development, University of Reading, said:
“In the UK there are similar concerns to those raised by Springmann et al (2020) that our diets comprise too much sugar, salt, and unhealthy fats, in part due to our relatively high consumption of ‘highly processed' foods.
