Jamie Walmsley says trans men with cervixes should be treated the same as women
A transgender rugby player has won an apology from a hospital over a delay in getting his cervical smear test results.
Doctors questioned why Jamie Walmsley, 29, needed the check-up when his medical notes said he was male.
What they didn't realise was that he was born female and began transitioning 10 years ago, electing not to have his cervix removed.
