The John Lewis Christmas advert has landed - and it's a heartwarming one which introduces us to Excitable Edgar, a baby dragon who's ever so enthusiastic about Christmas.
The ad debuted online at 7am on Thursday morning, and has already been watched almost 1m times on the John Lewis YouTube channel since its release.

The country is falling in love with Excitable Edgar following the launch of the John Lewis 2019 Christmas advert on Thursday morning.
The two-minute advert tells the story of a baby dragon who loves Christmas just a little too much - so much so that he ends up almost ruining it for the village where he lives - until his friend Ava steps in with the perfect present to save the day.

The John Lewis and Partners and Waitrose and Partners' Christmas advert for 2019 has arrived, introducing us to Excitable Edgar the dragon and his friend Ava.
The two and a half minute commercial, which premieres on Thursday, sees Edgar almost accidentally ruining Christmas for his village due to his tendency to breathe fire over everything, until Ava saves the day - and the festive season - with the perfect present for her pal.
