: Chelsea are a “better side” than Spurs despite thrashing

It's not been a good week for English teams in the Champions League.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham were all beaten by European opposition, the Blues in particular took a battering at the hands of Bayern Munich last night.
On ESPN they questioned whether they were letting Frank Lampard off too easy in comparison to how they had criticised Jose Mourinho and Tottenham last season, but Craig Burley insisted that wasn't the case.
“Chelsea are a better side than Tottenham” he insisted, pointing out that they had just come up against a team a level above even the impressive RB Leipzig who Spurs played.
