Scotland and Glasgow Warriors hooker Fraser Brown has revealed that he is still keen to play for the British and Irish Lions this year despite struggling to overcome an injury which will keep him on the sidelines during this year's Six Nations.
Scotland suffered a double setback when Brown and Edinburgh hooker Stuart McInally were ruled out of this year's championship due to neck injuries.
Both players were in the mix for selection for the Lions' trip to South Africa, although Brown admitted his injury will be a huge blow in his bid to be included in the famous touring team's squad.
“You'd be lying if you said it isn't going to do your chances any harm,” he told the BBC.
“From my point of view, I've just got to do my rehab as best I can and try and get fit as soon as I can.
“If I can get fit in quick enough time then hopefully I've got meaningful rugby before that decision is made, if the Lions tour goes ahead in the summer.”
