Libraries across Moray will host a series of events next week to celebrate reading.
Events for young and old readers will be held in the region as part of Book Week Scotland, which is organised by the Scottish Book Trust.
Authors from various genres will be giving talks at various locations to give an insight into their work.
The programme of events will begin at Forres Library on Tuesday at 7pm when historical and crime writer Shona MacLean will shine a light on her latest novel in The Seeker Series, The Bear Pit.
Inverness-based Margaret Kirk will deliver her Murder in Mind talk at Lossiemouth Library on Thursday, November 21 at 7pm.
Meanwhile, younger book fans have been invited to put on pyjamas and take their favourite teddy to a free bedtime story session at Elgin Library on Wednesday, November 20 from 6pm to 6.45pm with songs and rhymes with a sleepy theme also part of the fun.
Doric language aficionado Professor Peter Reid of Robert Gordon University will be at Keith Library on Thursday, November 21...
