Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant to offer free Sunday roast for kids

Provender, the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Melrose, is supporting the local beef farming community by treating every child under the age of 12 to a free Sunday roast when accompanied by an adult.
As well as supporting local farmers, the restaurant wishes to fight the backlash against “anti-beef propaganda” with this kids eat free deal on their Sunday roasts.
Provender's menu includes an array of locally sourced food and drinks - with grass-fed Border's beef taking centre stage at the Sunday roast.
The restaurant already provides a weekday “kids eat free” offer for young families to enjoy but the team hope the new offer will go one step further to making great food accessible to as many families as possible.
Restaurant owner Justin Orde says “We view our role as responsible community members and business-people to help local families cut through the noise of media nonsense and take part in an ecological system that goes back centuries if not millennia.
