Maersk Drilling has won a £30.3million contract for work in the Caribbean with a subsidiary of energy giant Shell.
The two-well deal will be carried out for BG International off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago by the Maersk Developer rig.
It is expected to begin in the first quarter of next year, lasting around 171 days.
The contract also includes five additional one-well options.
It comes after the Maersk Developer was used by Shell off Trinidad last year in a deal covering drilling and completion of three wells and the suspension of another.
