More than half of the north has a lower life expectancy than the worst area in the south
Northerners have been found to have a lower life expectancy than southerners, as news research shows the depth of ‘health inequalities' across the UK.
Fresh analysis of Public Health England data shows that more than half of the north of England has a lower life expectancy than the worst area in the south of the country.
Experts fear the disparity between health services in the north and south of the country are ‘entrenched and worsening'.
