Party leader Mandu Reid will replace Prof Sue Black forced to step back after vaginal mesh implant complications The Women's Equality party' s candidate for London mayor has been forced to pull out of the race after suffering complications from a vaginal mesh implant. The party claims Prof Sue Black has been a victim of entrenched “health inequalities” affecting thousands of women and that it will be campaigning to get the mesh permanently banned in the UK.

A London Mayoral candidate is standing down from the race because of problems with a vaginal mesh implant.
The Women's Equality Party's Professor Sue Black has been hampered by ongoing health issues related to the device, forcing her to be replaced by party leader Mandu Reid ahead of the election.
