Amidst the outcry against Mo Salah's finish at the Ballon d'Or awards, some Liverpool fans may have missed out on the omission of Alisson Becker in the ceremony's ranking of the top ten goalkeepers in world football.
The Brazilian international was beaten to the punch by fellow English top-flight shotstoppers in Edouard Mendy, Ederson and Kasper Schmeichel, as noted in a tweet from francefootball.

Liverpool fans were far from pleased online with the final placement of Mo Salah at the Ballon d'Or ceremony with the Egyptian finishing seventh.
The former Roma attacker found himself behind the likes of Chelsea midfielders Jorginho and N'Golo Kante with PSG attacker, Leo Messi, scooping his seventh award, despite a relatively poor individual season by his own standards.

Former Liverpool star hits out at “joke” decision to have Chelsea duo ahead of Salah in Ballon d'Or rankings

Former Liverpool left-back Jose Enrique has branded the Ballon d'Or rankings a “joke” on social media after Reds star Mohamed Salah only finished in 7th place.
The Egypt international finished behind some slightly surprising names, it must be said, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Karim Benzema all finishing above him.
This seems harsh on Salah, who will have been seen as a genuine contender to win the prize this year, even if Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski were always the two main favourites.
