The Senate passed a $2 trillion stimulus bill to help support the the country's economy during the novel coronavirus pandemic, with the House of Representatives set to vote on the bill Friday morning.
The bill includes sending most Americans a personal check to help prop up households amid the economic disruption.

The Senate unanimously passed a $2 trillion relief bill to help ease the financial burden American workers and businesses are experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The bill contains one provision that incentivizes Americans to help others in need: a new above-the-line charitable tax deduction.
Beginning with 2020 tax returns , taxpayers will be able to claim up to $300 in cash contributions to charity as a deduction without itemizing.
