We're challenging Europe's most climate-damaging power plant

Last year, we launched a legal challenge against Europe's largest power plant - Belchatow - and two of its mines. This week we'll have the first round of hearings in the District Court in Poland. The decision could spell a dramatically different future for the coal plant and the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
Belchatow is a giant coal plant in Central Poland, burning 45 million tonnes of lignite, the dirtiest form of coal, every year - an entire tonne every second.
