A pair of cops filmed shoving a 75 year-old protester onto a pavement causing him to crack his skull have been charged with assault.
The police officers, from Buffalo in Upstate New York, both denied the allegation against them at a hearing in their home city Saturday. They have been released on bail.

HUNDREDS of cops gathered outside two Buffalo courthouses today in support of two collegues expected to be arraigned on criminal charges for shoving an elderly protester to the ground.
Cheers erupted from police and firefighters supporting the officers as the crowd opened a black umbrella and held a black sheet to obscure WGRZ television news cameras from getting footage of the two officers.
