Election treble spells trouble for Belgium

Belgians might have to wait a long time for a new government - again.
As political parties start digesting the results of a large-scale, triple vote for the federal, regional and European parliaments, it's clear that stitching together a majority coalition at national level will be a tough task.
The far-right Vlaams Belang scored a huge win in Belgium's northern region of Flanders, gaining over 12 percentage points and finishing second with 18.5 percent.
