I studied English, slept a lot and developed an aversion to ‘hard' books. Was university anything more than an expensive blip? Under my bed, in a shoebox covered in dust, lie a disused strap-on and my degree. In a sense, this physical copy of my 2:1 in English literature from a middle-ranking university is the most expensive thing I own.
