Second case of community spread of COVID-19 found in Santa Clara County, California, officials announced on Friday.
An older woman with a previous health conditioned tested positive for the virus without any relevant travel history or contact with an infected individual.
This is the third coronavirus case in Santa Clara county.

New coronavirus case confirmed in Silicon Valley amid fears of local spread

Washington Post reports patient did not have known history of travel to hard-hit countries California health officials on Friday confirmed a third case of the novel coronavirus in the heart of Silicon Valley, about 80 miles south of Vacaville, adding to the more than 30 already confirmed in California. Health authorities in California have discovered a second person infected with the new coronavirus who appears to have contracted the virus in the community, the Washington Post reported late Friday.
The discovery of what is possibly a second case in Northern California whose source of infection can't yet be traced raises the specter that the virus may be spreading stealthily there.
