LONDON - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will comply with the Benn Act, which compels him to request an extension to Brexit negotiations if no deal is reached by October 19, the U.K.'s Brexit secretary said today.
Giving evidence to the House of Commons Exiting the European Union committee, Stephen Barclay said the U.K. government is committed to leaving the EU with a deal on October 31 and that this is the best way of avoiding having to comply with the Benn Act.
