Britain opens its doors to 3m Hong Kong migrants
“Millions of Hongkongers will be offered five-year visas and a path to British citizenship after the government stepped in to protect residents of its former colony against a draconian Chinese security law. The new law gives Beijing powers to crack down on dissent with a maximum penalty of life imprisonment for a range of crimes, in effect outlawing public protest.
