Freddie Ljungberg admitted Arsenal's confidence is at rock bottom after they lost at home to Brighton.
Neal Maupay's header condemned interim head coach Ljungberg to a 2-1 defeat in his first home game in charge .
The Gunners have now gone nine matches without a win, their worst run in over 42 years, with Ljungberg unable to oversee an immediate upturn in fortunes following Unai Emery's sacking last week.

Arsenal's poor form continues as Brighton win at Emirates

Brighton heaped more misery on Arsenal with a 2-1 win at the Emirates thanks to Neal Maupay's winner.
Adam Webster gave the visitors the lead in the 36th minute, firing past Bernd Leno following a scramble in the box after a corner.
The Seagulls took that lead into the half time break, but were pegged back soon after the restart through Alexandre Lacazette's headed goal.
David Luiz had a goal ruled out for offside shortly after the hour mark, but it was Brighton who went on to claim the three points after Maupay's 80th minute winner.

ARSENAL extended their winless run to nine games with a 2-1 home defeat against Brighton.
The Gunners were nervous from the off and the Seagulls took advantage, with Adam Webster lashing in from a corner after 37 minutes.
Things improved for a time after the break for the hosts as Alexandre Lacazette netted an equaliser, but Neal Maupay's late header ensured it was a miserable homecoming for Freddie Ljungberg.
