The Crown reigns supreme at the Emmys

The Crown reigned supreme at Sunday's Primetime Emmy Awards, with all the major actors winning gold for their performances and the series taking the Best Drama prize.
The hit Netflix series, critically lauded for its fourth season, depicted the British Royal Family during the 1980s and early 1990s.
Olivia Colman, who portrayed Queen Elizabeth II, won Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, while Josh O'Connor, who played Prince Charles, won the Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series award. Gillian Anderson, who played Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and Tobias Menzies, who played Prince Philip, won Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.
Emma Corrin, who portrayed Diana, Princess of Wales, was nominated in the same category as Colman; however, she won the Critics Choice Award and a Golden Globe earlier in the awards season for her performance.
